For the third straight season the Bobcats are going to the NEC Championship game, where they will meet Sacred Heart for the third straight year. The Bobcats jumped out early on Monmouth and never looked back as they beat the Hawks 8-4.

But the Hawks would not give up the fight, responding with two goals of their own to again cut the lead to one. The Bobcats received two goals from Katie Latonick to close the half to earn their three goal lead back.
The second half turned into a defensive struggle as the teams combined for just three goals. Devon Gibney scored five and a half minutes into the half to give the Bobcats their largest lead of the half, 7-3. Two minutes later the Hawks scored to cut the lead to three, but it would be the last goal of the day for the Hawks. Toomey added a goal with just under six minutes to play to seal the win.
