With their seventh consecutive victory, the Bobcats have clinched a berth in the NEC tournament.  The Bobcats are currently in a tie for first with Sacred Heart.  The two teams conclude the season against in Fairfield.

The Bobcats (8-4, 7-0 NEC) defeated Robert Morris 12-8 Wednesday afternoon to remain perfect in NEC play.  Devon Gibney scored the Bobcats first three goals of the game to help the Bobcats build an early lead.

Going into the half the Bobcats were holding a slim 5-4 lead.  But the Bobcats went on a 4-1 run to open the second half and gain some breathing room.  But the Colonials looked as though they were about the comeback, cutting the lead to 11-8 but the Bobcats wouldn’t give in.  Lauren Matuszczak sealed the win with a goal with 14 seconds remaining.

Gibney finished with four goals and an assist on the day.  Sarah Allen, Matuszczak, and Chelsea Guerrera added two goals apiece.
