With four players with three or more goals, the Bobcats offense exploded Sunday in their 20-4 win over Central Connecticut State University. Katie Latonick led the assault tallying eight points, four goals and four assists. Laura Iannotti, Devon Gibney, and Sarah Allen were the other three goal scorers.
After going down 2-0 early in the first half, the Bobcats responded with eight straight goals, including the first three from Iannotti. The hat trick set a new career high for Iannotti.
The Blue Devils scored twice to cut the lead to 8-4, but the Bobcats’ offense was just too much. The Bobcats scored the last five goals of the half for a 13-4 halftime lead.
In the second half, the Bobcats defense took over, while the offense continued to roll. The Bobcats held the Blue Devils without a goal the entire second half. Mary Kate Manganiello, Jackie Keleher, and Kayla Hamberry all recorded their first career point, with Manganiello and Keleher scoring their first career goals.
The Bobcats are 2-4 on the season, 2-0 in NEC play.
