With seven runs in third, the Brown Bears opened up a close game and ran away with a 12-6 victory over the Bobcats.  Making his first career start, Derek Lamacchia was hit hard, giving up eight runs in just 2 2/3 innings.

By the time the Bobcats (3-18) scratched across one run in the fourth it was already 9-0.  The Bears scored three more in the seventh to cap its scoring.  The Bobcats scored three more in the bottom of the inning and then two more in the ninth but it was too little too late.

Chris Migani and Joe Poletsky accounted for almost all of the Bobcats offense, driving on four runs and scoring three together.  The two also combined for five of the Bobcats ten hits.

The Bobcats will look to return to their winning ways when they travel to Dartmouth on Wednesday.
