The Bobcats swept Wagner on Saturday, coming from behind in both games.  Heather Schwartzburg won both games and continued to add to her single season strikeout record.

In the first game the Bobcats (23-21, 10-4 NEC) were down 3-0 with two innings left to play.  But the Bobcats tied in the game in the sixth.  Lauren Salgado and Angela Casella started the inning with back-to-back singles, and thanks to an error, advanced to second and third with no outs.  Salgado was brought in on a Katie Allendorfer sacrifice fly and Casella scored on an Alex Alba single.

Salgado and Casella combined again to win the game.  With two outs in the seventh, Salgado reached on a bunt single and advanced to third on an error.  Casella followed with a blooped a single to center to win the game 4-3.

In the second game, the Bobcats again fell behind early but the offense came alive to come away with the win.

Schwartzburg gave up the Seahawks only run in the first and that was all she would allow.

The Bobcats offense took the lead for good in the second.  The Bobcats loaded the bases with one out before Alex Murray sent a single to center to tie the game and then Salgado gave the Bobcats the lead with a groundout.  A sacrifice fly from Kim Brzezinski brought in the Bobcats third run in the third inning.

The Bobcats put the game out of reach in the fifth, scoring four times to go up 7-1.  After the first two batters were retired, five straight Bobcats reached base.  Emily Bellush, Heather Maffeo, and Murray drove in the runs in the inning.

Schwartzburg won both games, striking out 10 combined.
