The Bobcats squeaked out the victory against Harvard on Saturday. Down 2-1 in the third, the Bobcats (11-13) scored twice to take the lead and Heather Schwartzburg shut down the Crimson from then.
Back-to-back singles from Kim Brzezinksi and Angela Casella put runners on first and second with no outs. After a strikeout, Emily Bellush struck a single to left to bring in the tying run. Katie Allendorfer followed with a sacrifice fly to give the Bobcats the lead they would never surrender.
The Bobcats traded runs through the first two innings. The Crimson took a 1-0 lead in the second, but the Bobcats tied it up in the bottom half of the second. The Crimson retook the lead in the third on a homerun from Whitney Shaw. But the Bobcats would again respond and never trail again.
Bellush started the game for the Bobcats giving up just two runs on two hits over three innings. Schwarzburg was brought out of the bullpen once the Bobcats gained the lead and struck out nine over her four innings of work.
