After dropping the first game of the double header to Central Connecticut State University, the Bobcats responded by taking the second game.

The Bobcats (24-22, 11-5 NEC) jumped on the board early in the first game, scoring twice in the first.  But it would be all the Bobcats could get against the Blue Devils.  The Blue Devils tied the game in the bottom of the second and added more runs in the next three innings to come away with the 6-2 win.

The Bobcats jumped on the board early in the second game, as well.  Scoring four times in the second.  The Bobcats first run crossed the plate thanks to an error by the Blue Devils.  Kim Le Bel followed with a single to center to bring in two more runs.  Le Bel would come around to score later in the inning.

The Blue Devils cut the lead to two in the bottom of the third but the Bobcats tacked on another run in the top of the fourth thanks to homerun from Heather Maffeo.

Maffeo’s homerun would prove to be huge as the Blue Devils scored twice in the bottom of the seventh but couldn’t get the tying run across as the Bobcats held on for the 5-4 victory.
