Yale scored four runs in the first two innings and the Bobcats were never able to recover and fell to the Bulldogs 4-2 in the final day of the Stony Brook Invitational.

Yale struck in the first when Meg Johnson doubled to left center to drive in two.  The Bulldogs were given a run in second when the Bobcats’ Jaimie Iaquinto walked in a run.  Yale added their fourth run later in the inning.

The Bobcats cut the lead to 4-1 when Katie Allendofer cranked her second home run of the season in the fourth inning.  In the fifth, the Bobcats cut the lead to two when Julie Sini scored on a single by Angela Casella.  But it was as close as the Bobcats would get.

The Bobcats are 10-13 on the season.
