The Bobcats were up 7-3 with just over seven minutes left in the third quarter, but seven straight goals by Ohio State cost the Bobcats the victory. Jack Oppenheimer had four goals and two assists but the Bobcats fall to 4-2, 1-2 in ECAC play.
Mario Ventiquattro and Logan Schuss each scored twice during the Buckeyes 7-0 run. Schuss also added three assists during the run.
The game was close, with the Bobcats leading 4-2 at the half before going on a 3-1 run to start the second half to expand to a 7-3 lead. After that the Buckeyes took over and went on their run.
Oppenheimer scored with a minute and a half left to cut the lead to two, but it was not enough.
Todd Kaiser was the only other multiple goals scorer for the Bobcats, adding two. Christian Haggerty added a goal of his own in the loss.
