With under ten seconds left to play it looked as though the Bobcats were going to lose their first conference game of the year.  But Katie Latonick scored with five seconds left to keep the Bobcats perfect in conference play and beat Monmouth 8-7.  The win also moved the Bobcats over .500 for the first time this season.

Latonick held the ball behind the Hawks goal before moving to the right and towards the front of the net.  Latonick fired a shot around a defender and into the top right corner of the net.

Monmouth took a 1-0 lead 42 seconds into the game but the Bobcats (5-4, 4-0 NEC) responded by scoring back-to-back goals to take a 2-1 lead.

The Bobcats and Hawks would trade goals the rest of the game with neither team taking more than a two goal lead, which the Bobcats took early in the second half.

The Hawks held a one goal lead with just under eight minutes to play but Devon Gibney scored to tie the game and then Latonick scored the game winner.

Latonick and Lauren Matuszczak each had a goal and an assist while Gibney and Marissa Caroleo had two goals each.
