A 7-1 run in the second half broke open a tight game and propelled the California-Berkeley Golden Bears to an 11-9 victory. The teams played a slow paced game in the first half, combing for four goals in the first 20 minutes.
The Bobcats came out firing in the second half, scoring two goals in the first three minutes to go up 6-3. After Lianne Toomey scored to put the Bobcats up 7-4, the Golden Bears went on their run to go up 11-8. Chelsea Guerrera scored with less than two minutes to play, but it was too late for the Bobcats.
The Bobcats are now 1-4 and begin conference play on Sunday.
