The first two innings did the Bobcats in on Saturday.  Starter Mike Oskandy gave up six runs, all in the first two innings as the Bobcats (3-20) fell to Fairfield 7-2.

After the rough start Oskandy settled down, allowing only three base runners through the next four innings.  But Fairfield starter Rob Gariano shut down the Bobcats, throwing a complete game allowing two runs on nine hits with seven strikeouts.

The Bobcats scored their only runs in the fourth when Gabe Geurino smacked his first homerun of the season to right.

The Bobcats and Stags conclude their series on Sunday.
