The Bobcats jumped out to a 6-2 lead after three innings but couldn’t hold on as they fell to Dartmouth 7-6 Wednesday.  Brian Monack homered twice but also gave up the game winning double in the ninth.

Monack’s first home run gave the Bobcats (3-19) a 2-0 lead in the first, but the Big Green tied the game in the bottom half of the inning.

The Bobcats took the again in the second when Mickey Amanti hit a two out, two run home run to give the Bobcats a 4-2 lead.  The Bobcats expanded the lead in the third.  Monack lead off with his second homer of the game to left.  Joe Poletsky followed with a double before Chris Migani grounded out.  Kyle Nisson followed up with a triple to right center to bring home Poletsky, giving the Bobcats a 6-2 lead.  But that would the end of the Bobcats offense.

The Big Green pitchers shut down the Bobcats, while Bobcat starter George Dummar continued the stifle the Dartmouth offense until the sixth.

In the sixth, the Big Green scored four times to tie the game.  The game would stay 6-6 until the ninth when Monack came in to pitch and gave up the game winning double.

The Bobcats have now lost two straight.
