The Bobcats collected six hits on the day but couldn’t scratch across a run until the ninth inning against Boston College. By that time it was too little too late as the Eagles defeated the Bobcats 6-1.
Joe Poletsky drove in Ryan Ullrich for the Bobcats (10-26) lone run while George Dummar gave up five runs, only three earned, on five hits over four innings.
The Eagles struck early with two runs in the first and then extended the lead with three more in the fourth.
Todd DeFrancesco shut the Eagles down from there, giving up just one run in the eighth when the game was already decided. DeFrancesco ended up going four innings giving up the one run on three hits and two walks.
