Baseball Concludes Season With Loss
In the last game of the season, the Bobcats gave up runs in six of the eight innings as they fell to Wagner 10-2. The Seahawks were held without a run in only the first and eighth innings.
The Seahawks jumped on Bobcat starter Todd DeFrancesco for three runs in the second and never looked back.
The Bobcats cut the lead to one in the third, scoring twice on a bases loaded throwing error by the Seahawk shortstop. But that would be all the Bobcats would get as they were limited to just one hit over the final six innings.
The Seahawks offense, on the other hand, could not be stopped. They scored seven runs over the next five innings and cruised to victory.
Ryan Ullrich, Brian Monack, Chris Migani, and Tom Donovan combined had the four hits for the Bobcats. Ullrich and Monack also scored a run a piece.
The Bobcats finish the season at 14-39 (13-19 NEC).
